Using the site

Poemly is free to use. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

The poems you generate

You may use the poems you generate for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial, with no attribution required. We claim no ownership over them.

Be aware that in many countries, including the United Kingdom and the United States, text produced entirely by a machine may not attract copyright protection. We cannot promise that a generated poem is protectable, or that another visitor will not receive something similar.

Accounts

An account is optional; the generator works without one. If you create one:

• give an email address you control, and keep your password to yourself;
• you are responsible for what happens under your account;
• tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it;
• do not create accounts in bulk or automatically.

You can ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it at any time by writing to support@poemgenerator.io. We may suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms.

Subscriptions

The generator is currently free and unlimited for everyone, with no paid tier being sold.

Some people hold subscriptions taken out on an earlier version of this site. Those are billed by Paddle, our merchant of record, who handle payment, invoicing and any applicable tax. To view, change or cancel a subscription, use the link in a Paddle receipt email or contact us and we will help. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not automatically refund past ones.

If we introduce paid features in future, they will be new additions. We will not put existing free functionality behind a payment.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to:

• generate material that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or that sexualises children;
• impersonate a real person in a way intended to deceive;
• automate access, scrape the service, or attempt to circumvent usage limits;
• resell access to the generator as though it were your own service.

We may block access that appears automated or abusive, without notice.

Generated content

Poems are produced by an AI model. Output is not reviewed by a person before you see it and may occasionally be inaccurate, unsuitable, or resemble existing work. Read anything before you use it somewhere that matters, such as a wedding, a funeral or a submission.

Availability

The service is provided as it is, with no guarantee of availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. It depends on third-party AI infrastructure that may be interrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top of this page shows when they last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not remove protections you have under the law of the country you live in.
